Happy Thanksgiving & Update!

Hi everyone!  Happy Thanksgiving!  I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and give a quick update!

Starting today, I will be taking a few days off.  Not only am I working today, but I need a few days to spend time with my family.  I will also be finishing my Christmas shopping and cleaning up around the house A LOT.  Our home has become quite a disarray, which tends to happen around the holiday season.  It is even worse with me working nights and creating everyday!  I have a lot of stuff that needs to be put away and cleaned up!

Stay tuned, as I will be back on Tuesday, December 1st for a new tutorial!  I will be back everyday until I go on vacation in mid-December, but I will keep you posted!

Most of all, I just want to say how thankful I am for each and everyone of you.  Some of you have become my best friends and my family, and I'd be lost without you!  I am so thankful for the support of all my subscribers - I love doing this and hope I inspire you!

I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving with your families!

Whatever Wednesday: Another Craft Show Booth!

Hey everyone!  I am here with another craft show booth update!  I participated in my second craft show of the season this past Saturday at another high school nearby.  This high school both my parents actually work at, so I lucked out that I was able to bring all my stuff to my mom's office the night before, as this show did not allow for set up the night before.  This video shows my set up, and I will have pictures down below that show a little more detail.  At the end, I will do a quick recap for you!

This is the overall view of the front of my booth.  I ended up moving my sign to the back over the door, as the tape just wouldn't stick to my tablecloths!

This is a close up photo of the front of my booth, featuring my sticky note holders and earrings

A little collage featuring the different items my booth has to offer!

A view of one side of my card rack

This is my checkout station

This is one end of my booth that featured my mug gifts

Another front view of my booth where I had some sticky note holders and junior legal pads

A further away view of the front of my booth

This is an overall view of the other side of my booth, where I had my double notepad holders, cider and cocoa envelopes, nugget tins and nugget packs, and mini composition notebooks

A closer view of my earrings
Overall, I did a lot better at this craft show than the last.  As with my last update, I do not disclose numbers or sales, but there was a lot more traffic at this show.  I made a good chunk more than last time, so I am overall very happy with that.

I do still have quite a bit of stuff left, just due to the fact that I started with SO much stuff!  I have purged all the fall stuff out, and my mom is going to use that stuff as Thanksgiving gifts for her coworkers and friends.

I have one last show of the season coming up on December 5th at a mall in town.  I am going to make some more nugget tins, but other than that, I am probably not going to make anything else.  I don't have a lot of space to store my extra stuff.  We do have a storage unit, but it is not temperature controlled, and now that it is basically winter here in Wisconsin, I fear that the adhesive isn't going to be strong enough to make it!  I am hoping to get rid of most of what I have left, and will probably use the rest as gifts and such.

I hope you guys enjoyed this update and I will do another one after my next show!  Thanks for stopping by!

Tuesday Tutorial: Tags with Pretty Pink Posh

Hi everyone!  I hope you are having a great week so far!  Today I am here to share a rough draft of some tags I am making for nugget gifts for Paulina, who is the owner of Pretty Pink Posh.  She has amazing sequins, dies, embellishments, and now she has stamps!  Go check her out here.  She wanted to send some treats out to her retailers and asked for my help in making some nugget tins and nugget packs.  I made two different versions for her to choose from.

DISCLAIMER:  This project is not sponsored by Pretty Pink Posh, all products used were purchased with my own money.

The first set of tags I made using some mint green paper.  For the nuggets I am using the Doodlebug Frosty Friends collection, and this green went great with it.  These tags would not have any coloring, just stamping.

The second set of tags I made using white cardstock, and colored them in with my colored pencils.  I just did a rough coloring to get an idea of how they would look.

Both sets of tags also feature sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

I'd love to know which ones you like the best!  I personally like the white tags the best, but in the end we decided to go without the tags and just do the nuggets!

I will see you guys tomorrow with an update on my craft show from this past Saturday!

Stamp Saturday: Fall/Thanks Tree Card

Hi everyone, happy Saturday!  Right now I am at one of my local high schools doing my second craft show of the season!  I'm so glad I was able to find enough time this week to get videos done and posted so you guys still have something to watch, and hopefully some inspiration!

Today's card is a card I made using the CASE (Copy And Share Everything) method, from one of my sideline team members, Christina!  I made mine a little different, but was loving these fall colors!  This stamp set, Sheltering Tree, is also one of my favorite stamp sets ever!  I've been using this card as one of the make and takes for my workshops for November, and people have been loving these for fall thank you cards.  The tutorial is here, and I will post photos down below with all the dimensions!

Very Vanilla:
4 1/8 x 5 3/8
4 x 5 1/4

Cherry Cobbler:

Foto Friday: Shedd Aquarium Layout

Happy Friday everyone!  I hope you have some crafty plans for this weekend!  Today I have a super quick Stampin' Up! Project Life layout!  This layout goes along with another video I did back in September of the Chicago Sykyline.  Today's is all about the Shedd Aquarium!  I used the Happy Times collection and loved how this turned out!

I already put this in my scrapbook and love how quick I am getting photos scrapbooked!  I just had 4000 photos printed, so I better get moving!

How far behind are you on your scrapbooking?  I don't think I'll ever catch up!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Technique Thursday: Winter Igloo Card!

Happy Thursday everyone!  I hope you are all doing great!  I have the next 4 days off, so I sure am happy about that!  I have a super cute winter card to share with you today!  I got inspiration for this card from a card swap I received at the Stampin' Up! OnStage event that I attended last Saturday.  So I thought I'd try my hand at making this cutie card!

Here is the video tutorial!  There isn't too much for measuring, it is overall a pretty simple card.  I love how this turned out and I might have to make more!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  The products are listed down below, and you can click on the product to purchase directly from my store!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Whatever Wednesday: Craft Fair Booth!

Hi everyone!  I know this is the video that a lot of you have been anxiously waiting for!  I had originally planned on filming an add-on to this video with a little recap, but since I am doing another show in just a short few days, I didn't have time to compile all the results and crunch the numbers for you guys!  I'm so sorry!  I thought I would just share some close up photos of my booth with you and just point out a few things.  I will do another one of these posts after my next show!  The video here is the video from my booth the morning of the craft show after we finished getting everything all set up.

Below I will share some up close photos of my booth with a caption of what I have going on in the photo.

This is one corner of my booth featuring the nugget packs and tins

The same corner from a little further away

This is the other side of my booth where my card rack is, then I had several baskets with mini composition notebooks, jr. legal pads, and double notepad holders

This is one end of my table that I put my mug gifts.  I got these small white shelves at Fleet Farm to display and add some height

This is one side of my booth looking down the long side of the table.  This side had mug gifts, earrings, sticky note holders, and nugget packs and tins

This is the other corner of my booth, which has a rack for my double notepad holders and my cocoa/apple cider packs

This is looking into my booth from the aisle

Another photo of this corner of my booth after I had all my signs put up and candy out!

Another look at the other corner

A closer photo of the back of my booth with my sign
Overall, I think I did really well!  I am really not comfortable talking numbers with everyone.  My original plan was to tell you how many of each thing I started with and how many I have left so you guys could sort of figure out what things might work for you if you are trying to plan your booth.  Since I didn't have time to go back through and inventory everything again, I will just share some general thoughts with you.

As far as how much I made, that is not something I am sharing publicly, but after I put into account how much money I received that day, minus my start up money and minus my booth rental, I made a decent amount of money that I was happy with.

I did end up with a lot more left over than I thought I would, and there were some things that didn't sell as good as I thought they would.  My earrings, specifically my Packers earrings, which I thought would sell like hot cakes, did not!  Also the nugget tins and nugget packs didn't sell as quickly as I thought either.

I did not sell very many cards, which was very surprising to me as well.  I did have to consider that there was a booth not far from me selling cards for $1.50.  Some people that I knew commented and said they looked and her cards weren't as cute as mine, but I had to accept that people were probably buying her cards that were half the price of mine.  I considered lowering the price of my cards, but I feel that $3 for a handmade card is very reasonable.  I also had a deal going that the cards were either $3 or 4 for $10.

I did take into account that I did make A LOT of stuff.  I knew I wasn't going to get wiped out,  but I always like to prepare and have more than I need.

With all that being said, I was on the waitlist for another show (the one I am doing this Saturday) and just hoped I could get into that one to try to sell more of my items.  I have also registered for another show on December 5th at a local mall, which I haven't heard from yet, but am hoping to get into that to get through most of this stock.  That is the last show I will be able to do for the holiday season.  I'll keep you updated with how the remaining shows go.

I hope you all enjoyed hearing about my craft show experience, and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Tuesday Tutorial: Snowflake Christmas Card

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all doing well and are starting to get your Christmas Crafty on!  I came up with a simple card design I could use for my Christmas cards this year that is easy to mass produce, but is still beautiful!  Here is a link to the video tutorial!  I've done a tutorial on this technique in the past, but I love it so much I wanted to share it again!

All of the products used in this video are linked at the end, so feel free to purchase them to make this card too!  Here are all the dimensions for the layers:

Whisper White:
5 1/4 x 4
4 1/4 x 3
3 1/4 x 2

Blushing Bride:
5 1/2 x 4 1/4
4 1/2 x 3 1/4
3 1/2 x 2 1/4

I layered all of these onto a card base of Whisper White Thick Cardstock that measures 5 1/2 x 11, scored at 4 1/4.

I hope you enjoyed this video, and I'd love to see your versions of this card!
