Whatever Wednesday: Jr. Legal Pad Mass Production

Hi everyone!  Today's video is going to be a sped up video of me mass producing my last batch of Jr. Legal Pad Covers!  Be sure to stay tuned until the end, especially if you want to see an appearance by Smokie!

For this last batch of these, I decided to do a style similar to the ones I did in this tutorial, just using a different variation in papers.

I hope you enjoyed watching and I'll see you next time!

Tuesday Tutorial: Mini Composition Notebooks

Hey!  I'm here with another tutorial!  This one is really quick and inexpensive to make!  These mini composition notebooks cost about $0.58 cents each to make and are a great value!

1.  You'll need 2 pieces of pattern paper, measuring 4.5 x 3.
2.  You'll need 1 piece of coordinating cardstock, measuring 4.5 x 2.
3.  Adhere the fronts and backs, making sure to get your adhesive as close to the edge as possible.
4.  Trim off any excess.
5.  Before adhering your spine, put it around your notebook to shape it.  Put adhesive on both sides and adhere.
6.  Cut your coordinating ribbon so it is long enough to go around and tie a knot.
7.  Put adhesive down the middle between your spine and pattern paper.
8.  Put your ribbon inside the book and around to the front.  Bring both sides up to the adhesive to the middle where you want it and tie a knot.
9.  Done!

That was easy-peasy, right?

These are great gifts and stocking stuffers!  I hope you enjoyed this quick tutorial!  See you next time!

Happy Mail Monday!

Hi everyone!  Happy Monday!  You know what Monday calls for - Happy Mail!  I have several packages to share with you, and 2 are entries for my Fall Giveaway!  The giveaway is now over, but I will still be sharing entries with you that come trickling in.

The first package I have is something I purchased from Jami, she is PoetSpice on YouTube, be sure to check her out!  I bought this cutie little crocheted octopus from her, and she is even cuter in person!  Her little bow just tops it all off!  Thanks, Jami!

The second package I have is a giveaway entry from Heather Clay.  She made this adorable tag and I just love it!  The stamp is gorgeous and I love the coloring and the glitter!

The last package is from Marla Howell and she is Marla H on YouTube.  Go check her out, she makes a lot of gorgeous projects!  This is also an entry for my giveaway, and she created me a card and a project, and also sent me some extra goodies!  Thank you so much, Marla!  I really love the chalkboard she sent and I have a few ideas for it!  The chalkboard was a really creative idea, and it is something I never would have thought of!

If you sent a entry for my giveaway, it will be in next week's Happy Mail Monday!  Thanks for stopping by everyone!

A Look In My Planner: 10.19.15 - 10.25.15

Hey everyone!  I'm back for another look in my planner!  This week was another really simple and functional week as far as I used for stickers.  I really think it helps me to get more done and not worry about all the fun little stickers.  I loved using other stickers, but my planning just got to be way too overwhelming, which isn't what should be going on with planning!

The majority of my stickers are from two of my favorite shops.  The base of the layout with the Ombre Heart Checklists are from ScribblePrintsCo and the majority of my functional stickers (work, payday, headers, etc) are from PlannerChickDesigns.

I have one other shop that I have stickers from this week, which is HipDigiChick.  My Green Bay Packers Schedule stickers are from her, and she has a variety of teams to choose from!

I also used a few stickers from the Erin Condren Designer Sticker Book, which are beautiful colorful stickers with gold and silver foiling that match the planners.

I love using my planner so much and am always so happy to be able to check something off my to do list!

I hope you enjoyed and inspire you to use your planners too!

Stamp Saturday: Tree Sympathy Card

Hi Everyone! I hope your weekend is going great! I'm making a super simple card today. This is going to be a sympathy card that I think would be great to double as an encouragement card! I feel like lately people need sympathy cards so often, so I made 10 of these really fast, that way they are ready to go when you need them.

This is a single layer card with a sentiment on the inside. I started with stamping the sentiment on the outside, the tree, then the bird. I colored in some quick grass with my Garden Green Stampin' Write Marker. This marker can only be purchased in the set of Regal Stampin' Write Markers or in the bundle of the entire collection.

The last step was to stamp the sentiment for the inside. I used all one color (with the exception of the grass) to keep my stamping quick and simple. I think it also just looks elegant and simple, which is what I like when sending or making a sympathy card for someone.

I made 10 of these cards in less than 20 minutes, so I know that you can come up with something simple and quick too!

Please let me know what you think, and I'll see you next time!

Foto Friday: Smokie Pants PL Stampin' Up! LO

Hi everyone!  I'm here with a super simple scrapbooking layout!

When I started my crafting journey many moons ago, my primary focus was on scrapbooking.  In all the years I have been crafting, the only scrapbook I ever made for myself was for my wedding, which was a scrapbook of our engagement photos to put on the guest book table.  Other than that, all my scrapbooking has been for other people.

As I evolved in my crafting, I found that I enjoyed other crafts such as cardmaking and gifts much more!  Scrapbooking was very overwhelming and time consuming for me.  I still really want to preserve my memories in a creative way, so I am primarily going to be using Project Life for all my photos.  I still like to do a traditional layout once in awhile, but I have found Project Life to be super enjoyable and an easy, yet creative way to get my photos into albums.

As you know, I take a ton of pictures of my little Smokie and did a layout of him in a previous video, so today I scrapbooked some super cute pictures of him on the backside to give me a completed page!

In the video, you can see how quick this last page came together!  What is really great is that Stampin' Up! has partnered with Project Life to bring some really great collections that can be used for a variety of occasions.  For example, the collection used here is a love/wedding collection!  You can see everything I used linked below.

I'd love to know how you are preserving your memories!

Technique Thursday: Stampin' Up! Die Storage

Happy Thursday!  Today I am going to share a storage technique with you!  I love storage and organization just about as much as I love creating, and I know some of you are the same way!  Today I am featuring a piece from Stamp N Storage, and they have a lot of great pieces for your storage needs!  I have several different storage units from them and I love them!

Today I will be focusing on the Wafer Die Storage.  It comes in 3 sizes, and this is the largest size.  I have this on a shelf in my closet, and below you will find pictures of half the closet and where this unit is kept.

This is a really great sturdy piece, and the magnet cards you can get in the bundle are a great quality and very sturdy.  As you can see from both my photo and the video, you can fit a ton in here!  They have a lot of different options when choosing your pieces.

I also forgot to mention in my video that they also have a loyalty program and you earn points for every dollar you spend.  I have gotten enough points to get me over $100 in gift certificates so far that I have used on more pieces!  I plan to add more to my collection, too!

If you are new to Stamp N Storage, you can use this link, http://i.refs.cc/0iDG5KZ7 to get 10% off your first purchase!  And even better, shipping is ALWAYS FREE!

If you would like a closer look at any of the other pieces I have from Stamp N Storage, please let me know and I will be sure to feature some organization videos throughout my weeks as well.

Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Whatever Wednesday: Double Notepad Holders Mass Production

Happy Wednesday!  The week is almost halfway over and we are that much closer to the weekend....yay!  I have a super fun video for you today!  I am mass producing some Double Notepad Holders and thought you might want to see a set that I made.  If you missed my tutorial on these, you can see it here.

I made some super cute Christmas Double Notepad Holders using some Doodlebug papers and coordinating stickers.  I am trying to get through using up all my non-Stampin' Up! stuff so at some point down the road I will be able to focus completely on Stampin' Up!  I am loving how much stuff I have been using up lately - I'm really proud of myself!

I hope you enjoyed taking a look and watching me mass produce!  If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

Tuesday Tutorial: Jr. Legal Pad Covers

Happy Tuesday everyone! I am going to be starting on a new craft fair project: Jr. Legal Pad Covers! These are great for craft fairs, coworker gifts, and gifts for any occassion! You can click the video right below to see how I made them!

I am much better at showing rather than describing how to do something, so it may be better to watch the video, but I will give you step by step directions here the best I can!

1. You will need a base piece of cardstock cut at 8 1/4 by 11 3/4.
2. On the long side, you will score at 5 5/8, 6 1/8, and 6 5/8. Your front cover will be the side that is shorter.
3. Fold on all the score lines.
4. Fold on the middle score line and cut 2 slits right up to the score line about 2 inches down and a half inch apart.
5. Put your Tear & Tape Adhesive between the 2nd and 3rd score lines, making sure not to put tape in between the 2 slits you just cut.
6. Fold the back side (the side that is longer) onto the adhesive.
7. Fold on the other score lines and pop out where you cut the slits - this will be your pen holder.
8. Cut a piece of DSP at 1 3/4 x 5. Add adhesive to the top of your legal pad and one side of the back of your DSP and cover the top of your legal pad and wrap around to the back of your legal pad with the DSP.
9. Cut a piece of paper that is 6 1/4 wide (height can be anything you want) and place it over the cardboard back of your legal pad and crease around it. This will create a band for your legal pad so it can be replaced once it is used up.
10. Add adhesive to the edges of the band where you just folded.
11. Put the band back on the legal pad and slide it all the way to the top. Remove the adhesive lining from one side of the band and place your legal pad down where you want it. Once you have one side down, remove your legal pad. Remove the other side's adhesive lining and place it down. Now you should be able to slide your legal pad right inside.
12. Cut a piece of DSP 1 x 3 1/4 and roll it up to fit inside your Pental RSVP Pen. Screw off the end of the pen where the ink is and remove, and slide your paper in, then put the ink back in.
13. Decorate the outside of your legal pad cover as desired. The layers I used for mine were 5 x 8 1/8 and 4 7/8 x 8.

I hope you guys try this out, I'd love to see what you come up with! Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions and I'd be happy to try and help you!

A Look In My Planner: 10.12.15 - 10.18.15

Hi Everyone!  Happy Sunday!  I hope you all had a really great week!  Today I am going to share my week with you!

As many of you may know, I am currently using the Erin Condren Vertical Life Planner, and I absolutely love it!  I have been using an Erin Condren planner for several years, after using a number of different planners.  I am most happy using this planner!

I previously had a lot of very decorative sticker-heavy layouts in my planner, which just got to be way too overwhelming and a lot of work!  In the past few weeks, I have stuck with a very simple planner layout, still with a lot of stickers, but with just focusing on stickers from a few shops and stickers being more functional.

There is a coordinating video over on my YouTube Channel that is a walkthrough of this week's planner.  You can see it here.

I will share some additional photos of my planner for this week here and will also link the few shops that I have stickers from....and be sure to check the end of this blog post for an exciting giveaway!

This is the overall view of my planner for this week.  This week I went pink for Breast Cancer!  The majority of these stickers are from Planner Chick Designs on Etsy.  Wendy is a super sweet lady and has some of the best stickers around!  Be sure to check her out and join her group on Facebook to get inspiration and to be notified when she has a sale!

Here are some closer views at my layout.  There are only 2 other shops that I used stickers from.  One is Hip Digi Chick on Etsy, and I get my Packer Schedule stickers from her, which I use every week!

The only other stickers I used this week were the small Blog Post stickers, which I got from Planner Frenzy on Etsy.  Planner Frenzy is currently on vacation, but there are many other stickers similar to this that you can find out in the Etsy world.

Now for the good part!  A giveaway!  I am going to be giving away this super cute Kikki.K Time Planner!  I did a quick flip through in my video today, so check that out if you'd like to see more of the inside.  I also have a few pictures to show what it looks like.

As you can see, this planner is super adorable!  It is very simple to be entered in this giveaway!  There are a few rules:

1.  You must be a subscriber to my YouTube Channel (make sure your subscriptions are public!)
2.  You must be 18 years or older
3.  You must leave a comment on THIS BLOG POST.  Comments on my YouTube video will not count for the giveaway!

Simple, right?!  This giveaway will be open until October 25th, 2015 and I will pick a winner on October 26th, 2015.  Be sure to leave a way for me to contact you in your comment!

Good luck and happy planning!

I hope you enjoyed a look into my planner from this week, and I will be back next week for another planner share!

love and hugs,

Exciting Update!

Hi everyone!

I know it has been a little while since I have last posted here, but I have had some really exciting things happening!

As most of you know, I became a Stampin' Up! demonstrator in August.  I am absolutely loving it!  Since I started, I have been creating nearly every single day, which is a huge accomplishment for me!  Prior to Stampin' Up!, I did a whole lot of shopping and not a ton of creating.  I am still shopping, mostly with Stampin' Up! though!  I have noticed the dramatic change in how much I am running out to my local craft stores by how much less gas I am putting in my car, it is crazy!  Stampin' Up! has made it so easy for me to create and gives me so much inspiration!  If you'd like to join my team and be crazy inspired like I am, please contact me and we can dish out all the juicy details!

Shortly after I started with Stampin' Up!, I knew I wanted to make this into a business.  My previous blog design just was not working for me and I didn't feel like it looked right.  That is when I ran into Jessica, who is a fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, and also a graphic designer.  I pitched some of my ideas to Jessica, about what I wanted and tying in my current Etsy logo into my blog.  I really wanted everything to be seamless so I can post my handmade creations onto Etsy and have everything look the same.  Jessica totally outdid herself and we, together, came up with a totally different game plan!  You are now looking at the new face and design of planandcraftlove!  I love how it turned out!  If you need help with your blog or have a design job for Jessica, you can find her at Jessica Giglio Designs.

Along with my new business, I recently started preparing for some fall craft fairs, which I am super excited about!  As you know, I have been creating a lot of cute paper goods perfect for stocking stuffers, gift fillers, and teacher gifts!  I have been loving preparing and mass producing!  I still have tons more to make and I'll be sure to keep you in loop on my journey!

From this point forward, all my YouTube videos will have a coordinating blog post.  I will post more detailed information, pictures, links to products, and some awesome giveaways just for visiting my blog!

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you soon!
