A Look In My Planner: 7.27.15 - 8.2.15

Happy Friday everyone!  I thought I would kick off the weekend with another look into my planner!  As promised, I am here to show you my first weekly view in my new Horizontal Erin Condren Life Planner!  I don't really have a groove down yet of how I am planning in here, and I'm sure it will take me a few weeks, or even a month, but I'd like to share with you anyway.

I had so much fun decorating in my new planner and using some of my new planner stickers (and have so many more on the way!).  I will share photos of my weekly view, and also share photos of the stickers that I used.  I will also link the shops that the stickers are from and include any coupon codes if I have any!

Let's get started!

Here is an overview look at the weekly spread.  As you can see, I had a lot of fun playing with all kinds of stickers!  I am hoping in the future to have more of a theme going on, but I just had so much to play with!

Here is a closer look at the first part of the week.

And a look at the second part of the week.  Next, I will share the stickers I used and link the shops they are from and any coupon codes that I am aware of.

CraftedVan

This super cute magnetic bookmark is from CraftedVan on Etsy, which you can find here.  I use this little mason jar bookmark to put on my weekly page.  This adds functionality, and is super cute!

LoveLikeRyn

LoveLikeRyn on Etsy, which you can find here, has a large variety of stickers that I love!  She is a fairly new shop, but her stickers are gorgeous and very high quality.  I have ordered from her several times and she ships very fast & I'd recommend her shop!  In this week's layout I used a variety of stickers, including the work schedule, routine stickers, weekend hearts, glitter headers, some stickers from the free sampler sheet she sent me, and I absolutely love the I *heart* weekend stickers!  Some of my sheets are a little empty due to me adding some in the coming weeks, but check out her shop and I'm sure you'll be able to find them!  You can use code FREESHIP for free shipping over $25 in the US.

Libbie & Co

Libbie & Co has some of the best stickers I've ever ordered.  You can find them on Etsy here.  You get a full 8.5 x 11 sheet of stickers, which is an amazing deal, and they are the best quality of any that I have ordered so far.  Not to mention how adorable they are!  I used a lot of stickers this week from Libbie & Co, including the super cute drinks, turtles, polka dot bows, laundry baskets, the cleaning kit, plan flags, and the pencils.  If you haven't checked out her stickers, they are a must have!  You can use coupon code IGFRIENDS15 for 15% off your purchase!

It's Planning Time

It's Planning Time on Etsy, which you can find here, is another really great shop I came across.  These stickers are also really high quality, and are some of the most adorable stickers I have found as well.  This week, I used the really pretty glitter bokeh washi strips, which I am totally in love with.  I may just have to order more!  You can use coupon code PLANNINGTIME10 for 10% off your purchase, or FREESHIP30 for free shipping on $30 or more in the US.

SugarPeasPapeterie

SugarPeasPapeterie on Etsy is another shop with really cute stickers!  I don't know how many times I will tell you I found cute stickers!  Anyway, her shop can be found here.  Some of her sheets are full sheets, which I just love, and her stickers are great quality as well!  This week I used her adorable weather stickers to track the weather above my dates.  The great thing is that you can customize how many of each type of weather you want on your sheet for the same price.  She has a coupon code that is only good through 7/31, so act fast!  Use code DIRTY30 for 30% off!

Pink Elephant Planning

Pink Elephant Planning is one of the few shops off Etsy that I have ordered from.  You can find them here.  Pink Elephant Planning has great kits for both the horizontal and the vertical planners.  You can also purchase 3 months at a time, which saves you $5, and they will send you one month at a time, but you only pay shipping once!  This week I used the Bill Kit, and the monthly August Kit.  My sheets look very empty, only because I have used a lot of the stickers already and prefilled in some of next week.  If you take a look at her site you can see just how much you get in the kits - I really think it is a great value!

Sticky Cuts

Sticky Cuts on Etsy is another great shop with high quality stickers.  You can find Sticky Cuts here.  Sticky Cuts is another fairly new shop, but I love the stickers!  I actually did not use any of the stickers that I ordered, but one of the freebies that was sent with my order.

Scribble Prints Co

Scribble Prints Co is one of my favorite places for stickers.  The majority of her stickers are glossy.  Normally I prefer matte stickers, but Andrea's stickers are so amazing that I will deal with the glossy!  You can visit Scribble Prints Co here.  This week I used quite a few different stickers from Scribble Prints Co,  I used the little shipping box icon, a corner sticker from her money set, and one of the plan flags.  Use coupon code GOLDEN for 10% off your purchase until 8/31/15.

Stickeriffic

I know I've said this already, but this is another one of my favorite shops!  Stickeriffic on Etsy has the most adorable stickers and pretty colors!  You can find them here.  I used a lot of different stickers from Stickeriffic this week, including the free sampler sheet included in my order, the pink/gray washi, the really pretty purple/teal washi, the adorable donuts, and the yummy coffee stickers!  You can use code FLASH10 for 10% off your purchase, or FREESHIP for free shipping over $50 or more.

I hope you found this post and photos informative, and hope you will visit some of these great shops and support them!

If you have any questions about my planner, any of the stickers I use, or anything else, feel free to leave me a comment or contact me, and I'd be more than happy to help you out.

Also, be sure to use this link for $10 off your first Erin Condren purchase!

Happy planning!

Erin Condren Keep It Simple Notebook Unboxing

Hello everyone!  I hope you are all having a great week!  I have been super busy working and also working on some organizing projects in my craft room, which I hope to share with you soon!  But today, I am here to share my most recent order that I have received from Erin Condren!

I decided to order a notebook from Erin Condren, which I wanted to use to keep track of my crafty life!  I decided on the Keep It Simple Notebook, which you can get in two different sizes.  The 7 x 9 notebook is the one I chose, and it is $22.  You can also get a 8.5 x 11 notebook, which is $27.

As with my last unboxing, I will show you the start to finish unboxing process.

As always, when you open the box, everything is wrapped in tissue paper.

Under the tissue paper, everything is also wrapped in bubble wrap for protection!

The Keep It Simple Notebook comes with a variety of covers, which you can customize just like with the Life Planners.  The Keep It Simple Notebook also comes with a bookmark ruler.  In this photo, the ruler looks blue - it is actually clear, but comes with a protective seal on it, which needs to be removed.

This is a closer view of the cover of the Keep It Simple Notebook.  I chose the Sequins cover - which I thought was totally appropriate since I am using this to keep track of my crafty things!  This pattern is in the light pink color.  The sequins cover automatically comes in three different shades of the color you pick.

This is what the majority of the pages inside the notebook look like.  You get 132 lined pages that are in a rainbow of colors.

Included in the Keep It Simple Notebook are 21 blank pages in a rainbow of colors.

To go along with my notebook, I decided to order a few of the section dividers to help me organize my crafty life.  The section dividers are $6 each, or you can order a ready to ship set of 3 for $14, but they are not customizable.

The first divider that I ordered is for the To Do section of my notebook.  Here is where I will keep track of different projects I am working on, ideas I have that I want to do, or organizational projects for my craft room.

The next section divider I ordered is for Inventory.  Here I will keep track of different supplies I have, such as stamp sets, ink pads, dies, etc.  This way when I am online shopping and might not be in my craft room, or am out shopping, I can just pull out my notebook to make sure I am not buying duplicates.

The last section divider I ordered is for my Wishlist.  Here is where I will write down things I would like to purchase.  Instead of watching a video and thinking to myself that I'd like to purchase that, I can just write it in my notebook.  Then when I am making an online order, I can just refer to my list.  I plan to highlight the item once I have purchased it, so I can easily identify what has been purchased and what has not.  This is also great if someone asks me what I'd like for a gift or whatnot, I can just refer to my wishlist and don't have to think too hard about it!

I hope  you enjoyed coming along with me on my unboxing of my Erin Condren Keep It Simple Notebook!  I will share more of this with you once I get it all set up and start using it in my crafty life!

Be sure to use this link if you are new to Erin Condren, you will get $10 off your first purchase!  Click here for $10 off your first Erin Condren purchase!

Thanks for stopping by, I'll see you next time!

love and hugs,
Amanda

A Look In My Planner: August 2015 Monthly View

Today I am going to be sharing my first look into my planner.  My previous blog post is all about unboxing my Erin Condren Life Planner.  Now, we are going to take a look at the August 2015 Monthly View.  I decided not do decorate July 2015 since it is so far into the month, so I actually ripped out all the pages prior to the August 2015 Monthly view.  This resulted in my first weekly spread starting today, July 27th and going through August 2nd.

Here is an overview photo of the August 2015 Monthly Calendar.  The Monthly Calendar is where I plan to keep track of bills, paydays, and any significant events such as birthdays (which I don't have my birthday stickers to add to this yet), weddings, shopping trips, vacations, etc.

The first item that I have displayed in my monthly view is this super cute macaron magnetic bookmark, which I ordered from Crafted Van on Etsy.  These come from Canada, and were reasonably priced and came fairly quickly for coming out of Canada.  You can find this and other really cute bookmarks at https://www.etsy.com/shop/craftedvan.

The stickers for bills and paydays come from Pink Elephant Planning.  You get these stickers shown above, as well as the long bills sticker that is on the right hand column in the monthly view planner (I don't have a photo to share because I already put them in my planner).  This set comes with stickers that coordinate for August, September, and October.  You can find these at http://pinkelephantplanning.com/.

I also used these stickers, also from Pink Elephant Planning.  This is the August Monthly Kit.  It comes with a ton more stickers than this, but I have used them in some of my weekly views that I have been working on.  The great thing about these is that you can order a bundle which includes 3 months, and you get them automatically sent to you!  Of course I chose that option, it is a lot less thinking for me to do!  This set included the super cute elephants, the blueberries, citrus fruits, shopping bags, and the small one line stickers, which I use to write what bill is due and also mark how much my paycheck is.  These are a must have, and you can find these at http://pinkelephantplanning.com/.

I used one of these super adorable turtle stickers to decorate one of the boxes that has a previous month's day in it - just for some cuteness!  These adorable turtles are from Libbie & Co.  This is my first time ordering from them, and I am in love with the quality of these stickers.  They are so thin, so they do no add any bulk, and they are printed on vinyl.  You can find these at https://www.etsy.com/shop/Libbieandco.

Another set from Libbie & Co is these really cute small banner stickers.  These fit great across the date boxes in the monthly, but are a little bit shorter, so you can just center them in the boxes.  I used these stickers to mark the weekend I am going to Chicago with my best friend.  You can find these stickers at https://www.etsy.com/shop/Libbieandco.  You can also use coupon code IGFRIENDS15 for 15% off your purchase.

The last set of stickers that I used on my monthly view are these stickers from LoveLikeRyn.  I actually did not order these, but ordered other stickers from her, and these were included as a freebie in my order.  This is one of her sampler sheets, and is great to try out different stickers that she offers.  I used the large house sticker to mark on the first of the month for rent due.  You can find her stickers at https://www.etsy.com/shop/lovelikeRyn.  Be sure to use coupon code FREESHIP for free shipping on orders over $25!

Be sure to check out the coordinating video over on my YouTube Channel to take a look at these stickers in video form.  The video is live at http://youtu.be/x1dZ45l6EGM.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time!

love and hugs,
Amanda

Erin Condren Unboxing!

Today I am going to share with you my most recent Erin Condren order, experience, and unboxing.  I have been using Erin Condren's Life Planner for the past 2 and a half years and have been very happy with it.  I've tried out other planners such as Kikki-K, printables, and other cheaper planner options.  I've found that out of all these, I enjoyed the Erin Condren planners the best.  I was excited to learn that this year they not only offered the vertical option of the Life Planner, but also a horizontal option.  I do have a referral code that you can get $10 off your first Erin Condren purchase!  To take advantage, please click this link and then create an account from the link.  https://www.erincondren.com/referral/invite/amandarogers0412-7241

I have recently made 2 orders with Erin Condren, and received the first order on 7/17/15.  When you purchase through Erin Condren, you are given an Approximate Ship Date.  The date that I was given was 7/22/15, so my order arrived 3 business days before the order was actually estimated to ship, which is awesome!  I did pay the extra $4 for FedEx 2-3 day shipping.  If you choose just the regular shipping option, it uses FedEx Smart Post, which can take up to 2 weeks for delivery.

The box came while I was sleeping, so I brought it to work with me to open when I had some free time.  This is typically the type of box that your order will come in.  I love saving these boxes to use to send things to my crafty friends or for repurposing - these are really great and sturdy boxes.

When you open the box, right on top you get some stickers, some fliers, and your invoice.

After removing the few loose items on the top, everything is wrapped nicely in tissue paper and sealed with a nice colorful sticker.

After removing the sticker and pulling back the tissue paper, there is a layer of bubble wrap around all your items and everything is neatly stacked inside.  I will first show the planners and talk about those, then the accessories.

The first planner that I ordered was for my mom.  I purchase my mom a planner every year.  I know it is something she wouldn't purchase for herself, so I get one for her as a thank you for everything she always does for me.  Last year she choose her cover, but this year she was not with me when I ordered, so I picked one that I thought she would like.  This cover is the Butterfly Wings in Turquoise.  If you choose the 12 month Life Planner option, this planner is $50.  I opted to get the 18 months, so this planner was $55.

I did order her planner in the horizontal option, but as you can see, I was sent the vertical option.  I have sent an email to customer service.  I am guessing they will either offer a replacement or a store credit.  In this case, I will probably take the store credit, as my mom indicated she was fine with either.

As you can see from the spreads above, there are a few changes that were made to this years' Life Planners.  In the monthly view, everything is a little bit cleaner with more room.  In the weekly view, the mini calendar on the upper left hand corner is gone, giving you a place to write.  There is more space on the left hand side with the lines.  The dates have been cleaned up a little bit, giving you more space at the top.  The section headers of Morning/Day/Night have been removed, so you can personalize those to fit your needs.  Lastly, the words under the night box have been removed.  All in all, I love the way this years Life Planner Vertical looks; it is much cleaner, with more space to personalize and write.

The second planner that I purchased was for myself.  I decided to go with the Metallic Platinum Edition in Orchid.  This planner with the 12 month option is $60.  I chose the 18 month option, which was $65.  The Metallic Edition of the Life Planners are all foil pressed by hand.  There have been some problems with production with the foiling, so in order to get planners out to people, they have been sending this post card, along with a grey and white cover on the Metallic Edition Planners.  You either get the triangle cover, or the floral cover.  They will then send your Metallic Cover to you once it is done.

I am so happy that I ended up getting the floral pattern cover, as I just was not much a fan of the triangles!

The inside of the Metallic Edition planners come with this vellum sheet.  Since I ordered the Platinum Edition, the vellum sheet has some silver foiling.

I was so happy that they got the orientation of my planner correct!  I definitely would not have been okay with the vertical option!  As you can see, the colors between the planners are quite different.  The vertical planners offer the usual rainbow colors, where the horizontal planners have a more muted watercolor type of coloring.  I am not much of a fan of the triangle pattern that is spread throughout the horizontal planner, but I have ordered some stickers that can easily cover that up.  With the horizontal planner, you get your notes section on the bottom of the page.  There is so much space in this planner, and I can't wait to get started!

With the purchase of the Metallic Edition planners, included in the cost are a package of the Keep It Together Bands that coordinate with your chosen planner.  You can also purchase these bands separately for $7.00.

Additionally, I ordered the Monthly Budget Book.  This book costs $5 and has each month of the year with places to write your income and expenses.  The end of the book also offers a contact sheet, password sheet, and a debt tracker.  I am hoping this will help us budget a little better and save some money.

I also ordered the Wellness Journal, which is $6.  The Wellness Journal has a quarterly progress chart that you can use to track your weight, BMI, measurements, and other notes.  You also have pages for 15 weeks to track your water consumption, notes, food, and activity.  The last page offers you a target heart rate charge and information on calculating your BMI.  I struggle with my weight, and am currently working on deciding what I am going to do to get some of the weight off and live a more healthy lifestyle, so I am happy to have this as one general place to keep track of everything.

The next additional purchase I made was for the Party Pops Markers.  These markers are a fine tip marker that are smear resistant and water-based ink.  You get 6 markers, and these are $10.  They also come in their own handy carrying case.

This is how each of the colors write out.  I'd have to say that the green is my least favorite, and the blue and pink tie for my favorite.  They write really nice!

The last item that I purchased was a Carry-All Clutch.  This pattern is the Fleur Feliz in Charcoal and Orchid.  The medium size fits your Life Planner perfectly!  There is also room for extra things such as stickers, mini notebooks, and pens.  The medium Carry-All Clutch is $32.

I also forgot to mention that each Life Planner comes with a pocket in the back to keep stickers, receipts, etc, some pre-printed and blank stickers, and a zipper pouch that also includes some freebies in it.  Inside the pocket, you also get a perpetual calendar.  I do apologize, as I did not take pictures of these items.

Overall, I am quite happy with my purchase!  Although there was one mistake in my order, that is minor compared to some things I've been reading from other people, and I am confident that customer service will make good on it.

I do have another order that is still in process, so once I receive that order, I will be sure to share it with you.

If you are interested in making a purchase with Erin Condren, be sure to click the link I posted above to get $10 off your first purchase!

If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I'd be more than happy to help you out!

Happy Planning!

love and hugs,
Amanda
